The Clash - Lyceums Burning

a great ska compilation for you all today.its a 23 track compilation and its a belter!i got it from camden dave this morning who came over for a few games of tekken6.anyway it features a whole host of great bands and artists like bad manners,the loafers,laurel aitken,the riffs etc etc.anyway its going straight on the eyepodd later now that ive found the connecting cable.anyhoo id like you all to listen,enjoy,do the ska and then when you have a moment leave a comment.thanks!

The Clash - Rat Patrol from New Jersey
this is another clash(one of about 6)show that ive had sitting on the hard drive for ages thinking that id already posted them.but havent.anyway this one is a 26 track show recorded live as the title says in new jersey in 1982.good sound throughout with the band on top form.i hope to post the other shows ive got as soon as i can,as clash posts on the blog always seem to get the most feedback from people.there are some great ones to come including a great japanese show(that isnt tokyo riot!!)and some others i know you will really like.anyhoo i hope you listen,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

The Slits - Primavera Festival 2010
as a tribute to Ari Up lead singer of the slits who died yesterday,i present this gig recorded earlier this year at a festival in spain.there are 11 tracks here with a great version of 'i heard it through the grapevine' being a standout for me.this is a brilliant recording and i think really shows what a brilliantly underrated band i think they were.our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.

Madness - The Lost Tapes Vol.2
evening all.got this collection recently on a cd-r sent to me by james in hastings.(cheers mate for this!)its a 23 track collection of studio demos,instrumentals and all that sort of thing.as the more alert of you will have noticed its labelled part2,so im assuming someone out there in interweb land has part1.if so it would be really great if you could point the muebles listeners in the right direction.i have no other info on this post im afraid so its up to you now to listen,dance,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!
