The Specials - Live Louisiana,New Orleans January 1980

REPOST:Good evening everyone in interweb land .For your listening pleasure this evening we present this wonderful "missing" show from the Specials recorded at the Warehouse in Louisiana  New Orleans on January 26th 1980.This show was very kindly donated by Lordgeorgejerry who didnt record the gig but who was there and owns the master recording of this show and he has very kindly sent me a d/l link for the show to post on the blog. I also have to thank Deco for doing a great job in splitting the file into individual tracks. As Lordgeorgejerry mentioned in his email to me he was at the show himself and remembers Neville hanging from the rafters singing "Monkey Man".They were opening for the police at this show and played a much better gig than them!!
Anyway its a great sounding show with 19 tracks for your listening pleasure. So id like you to listen enjoy,leave some comments thanking LGJ and Deco for their work.Thanks!

The Specials - Live in Seattle 1980

starting the proceedings today is another great bootleg from the muebles archives.this is the specials recorded live at the showbox venue in seattle.its a great quality audience recording which i believe was ripped from a cassette copy originally ( at least thats what camden dave told me! ) but its a great listen anyway.like the jam the specials were always a great live band brimming with energy and this gig serves as a reminder of how great they here back in the day.listening to the opening chant from concrete jungle always reminds me of fights at school!oh happy days.so you should know by know what you need to do and thats dust off your loafers and harringtons,play this little gem,enjoy,dance like you just dont care and then skank to the computer and be brave and leave a comment.thanks!

The Specials - Gangsters (video and live!)

this is the first in a series ive put together of the official video release for a track and then a live performance of the same song.for the first one ive done gangsters by the specials.the live performance is from saturday night live (u.s version) from the 19th april 1980 and ive got to say is easily one of the best live versions ive heard of this song.a really great performance.the energy is incredible.so put this on,pretend its 1980 again,copy terry halls dancing,play air guitar like roddy,enjoy and leave a comment.thanks!
