Evening all,long time no see.ive not done any posts on the blog for a long long time.For a lot of reasons i suppose,life getting in the way,work,gobshyte junior growing up.it all adds up and doesn't give me a  lot of free time.but in a quiet moment while she is still away on her holidays i thought id try a post to see if there was any interest in the blog and whether it was worth starting it again.i check in sometimes and see that people come and check things out and still download things so thanks to all of you for keeping the blog alive.ive had to set up a new account to upload this post as its been so long since i used the last account to upload anything i cant remember the correct log in name or password!!
so lets give this a go shall we?this post is the Specials set from the Olympic closing ceremony concert at London's Hyde Park in 2012 which i went to myself.its a top quality recording taken from an FM broadcast.if you download please leave a comment just so i can see if people are enjoying what im posting.also if you have any requests for re-ups (and i can find the original cd's or files) i will do my best to accomodate your requests.thanks for reading and by the way it feels good to be back

The Specials Live at the 100 Club February 1st 2019

General Public - Live '86

todays repost is an absoute cracker.its a live show from general public recorded in philadelphia in 1986.im reading horace panters book 'skad for life' at the moment and in it he talks about his time with general public and what great shows they were to do.anyway it reminded me i had a show of theirs somewhere and after some frantic searching through boxes of stuff found it in a shoebox of cd's inside a suitcase which was under the bed!its a great quality sound recording and they cover a couple of beat songs as well.theres also a nice little speech from saxa on cd2 which is a nice listen.so over to you guys now to listen,dance enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

p.s i highly recommend horace panters book if you havent read it.he comes accross as a really nice guy who loves the music and it also has some real laugh out loud moments.i got mine in a shop called 'fopp' in covent garden in london for only £3.!!

ok to those of you who havent downloaded this already you may need to download all 3 links(the second two are quite small so dont worry!)and then cut and paste the incomplete files.i dont know why this happened so hopefully doing it this way will sort it.cheers

The Specials - Live 10/4/09

ok even hotter of the presses today here is part 2 of the specials live on the Jools Holland show.once again they perform 2 numbers,the ones today being 'man at c+a' and 'little bitch'.there is also mp3s included of each song and also the video of the interview they did with mr. holland.seriously i cant wait for the 12th of may at brixton academy.its going to be great.i wonder when the first recordings of the tour will appear?rumour has it the band are releasing a live album from the tour but we'll wait and see.in the meantime,listen,watch,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!
