ok a bit of a competition of sorts.ive been given two clash gigs recently, the US festival from '83 and one from tokyo in '82.now i have them on the hard drive but they are files i dont understand like .bup etc.when i open the folder using VLC it works fine and i can select the chapters and everything but i want to be able to put them on a dvd and watch them on the t.v.what programme can i use to get them to do this?(the folder is labelled VIDEO_TS if that helps).on my wifes mac computer there is a programme called 'toast' that ive used to burn dvd's before but they were avi files.can i use this programme to do this?there is a selection option whereby you can make data disks or can turn the file into one that will play on all dvd players.ok as you can see i am very confused.the person that can send me a link for a very simple programme to convert these files into playable dvds along with instructions on how to use it will get a copy of these gigs(if they want them)on 2 seperate disks with cover art sent anywhere in the world.thanks very much and i hope to hear from someone very soon.hanx!

That's already in DVD format, you just need to put it on a DVD 'correctly'. Get yourself a copy of ImgBurn (free), instructions here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burn_dvd_folder_imgburn.cfm and bob's yer proverbial.
suggest you use program: Format Factory. free
http://www.formatoz.com/
with another program, you can convert these files to avi or something you can burn. you tube downloader is free and pretty good at converting obscure files...
Get Nero Burning ROM off of BitTorrent to burn your CD. The format you are talking about is a standard video rip.
convert x to dvd sounds like the programme your after, check the torrent sites.
So who won the competition then?
ah yes.slightly later than promised is the winner of the competition.the winner is TC who sent the instructions for the programme i used.a piece of piss even for a technophobe like me.so get in touch mate if youd like a copy of the clash in tokyo dvd.im such an eejit at times that i appear to have deleted the link for the us festival gig.sorry about that.
