Jimmy Nortons Explosion - Peel Session
an interesting item for you all this evening(that i got from someone at work with the quote"here gobby you like all this kind of shite dont you?")is a peel session offering from 1979 recorded by Jimmy Nortons Explosion.no i dont think id heard of them either but they feature mr glen matlock on bass guitar and budgie from the banshees on drums.anyway they would eventually become the spectres.so there you have it.what else can i say except have a great christmas whatever you do and please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!actually i should also say big thanks to everyone who has visited the blog this year and left comments both good and bad.thanks to all the other bloggers out there for some great posts this year and i look forward to many more in the coming year too.cheers!

This is "The Jimmy Norton Explosion" it's a play on "The Jimi Hendrix Experience".
Everyone seems to get it wrong and call it Jimmy Norton's Explosion.
Best wishes,
Marky.
On the Peel Sessions website the band is called Jimmy Norton's Explosion so maybe that is why people get it wrong.

Yes you are correct bat29 that's not the first peel session labelled wrongly. That peel site is great tho' a brilliant wealth of info to be found.
This site has the the best info on The Jimmy Norton Explosion/The Spectres.
