greetings listeners!for your delectation this evening we have a live compilation of various punk bands recorded at various venues around the world.i dont have any info on venues or dates etc etc but i do know that its a good listen and one i know you will enjoy.its part of a 3 disk set but i wasnt sent the other 2.the other 2 disks are studio versions ( i think) of various punk tracks.anyhoo please listen,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

The Specials - Back to Brixton

firstly i want to say a big thanks to H.J and Jack T. for sending me the extra tracks from the recent specials gigs at the academy.ive been listening to them as i type this and they are great versions.you get "hey little rich girl, man at c+a, you're wondering now" to take the total up to 16 tracks from the brixton shows.also thanks to HJ for sending me the link for the bonus track which is a rehearsal recording of concrete jungle in 2008 and to camden dave for doing all the technical stuff converting from video to mp3.so once again its up to you to listen,enjoy yourselves ,dance and then leave a comment.thanks!

Live from The Roxy

on a recent trip to the 'record and tape exchange' in londons berwick street i got this brilliant live compilation cd for £2.its a great quality live compilation taken from previous roxy compilation albums and other live roxy club recordings by some of the artists.the sound on it is very good indeed and features an interesting drum intro to 'oh bondage up yours' and a fantastic version of 'smash it up'.so its a great listen and a great piece of punk history.i didnt scan the cover so i borrowed this one from the interweb.anyhoo play this loud,pogo,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

The Specials - Live 10/4/09

ok even hotter of the presses today here is part 2 of the specials live on the Jools Holland show.once again they perform 2 numbers,the ones today being 'man at c+a' and 'little bitch'.there is also mp3s included of each song and also the video of the interview they did with mr. holland.seriously i cant wait for the 12th of may at brixton academy.its going to be great.i wonder when the first recordings of the tour will appear?rumour has it the band are releasing a live album from the tour but we'll wait and see.in the meantime,listen,watch,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

The Buzzcocks - Peel Sessions 77 - 79

well for another peel related post today we have this wonderful compilation of buzzcocks sessions from the bbc.recorded between sept. 77 and may 79 its a cracking compilation with lots of great songs like mad mad judy and what do i get?.all in all a pogotastic collection for any music fan.ill post some more 'sessions' tomorrow that i hope you enjoy.so right now its time to kick out the jams,enjoy this and then leave a comment.thanks!

The clash - all the young punks part 2

ok here is a track list for the post below.its quite similar to the d.o.a posting and to a couple of other boots floating about.but if like me your a completist then youll want it anyway.but you may want to check first.actually ill put the tracklist in the comments.for future posts ill try and ( if i remember )to post tracklists for boots that ive seen in other versions if that helps you decide to d/l or not.thanks to dz for bringing this to my attention.i cant believe i didnt notice before.cheers mate!

The Clash - All the young punks

a great clash compilation that ive had for ages.i dont why ive not posted it before!this is a 2-disk version with a total of about 60 tracks if my maths is correct.it consists of demos and live tracks etc and is another must have for the clash obsessive amongst you! ive got another version of this compilation called ' live and loaded 1977 ' but the main difference between them seems to be a slighly different running order of all the tracks and different artwork.i also prefer this version.i think some of it comes from vinyl boots originally but dont let this put you off!anyways play it,listen and enjoy it,then skip merrily to the computer and leave a comment.thanks!
