RUTS ACTON TOWN HALL 1979
Love the ruts, anyone know about the zion train peel session with some of them(seggs and ruffy)? BBC have got copyright and even zion train don't have a copy! Includes a cover of mob's witch hunt. Would love to hear it again, and so would zion train.
i got it just recovered it from a hard drive :-) witch hunt dub and suspect dub ( bit slf ) theres a tune called bass adds growth and i got "cant take it easy" which i am not sure but might or might not be session .. will put them on soundcloud today hopefully
Hey Duncan just seen your reply now and i'm thrilled, any update on an upload, would be very greatful, and so would zion train if you've any way of sending them a copy!
I was at this gig! The Satellites opened but seemed a bit out of it, at what I assume was a local gig for them and a big opportunity. There was a good reggae band called Exodus middle of the bill with the singer using an acoustic guitar which gave them a slightly different sound, then The Ruts were good. Bit of a crap night, load of skins there causing a bad smell, some people fighting over drinks that were set up on an ad hoc bar. Usual old bollocks, basically.
