I don't know how you might be able to download but you can use SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder or other streaming recorder to record it in real time.

Yes very possible. I use replay media player to do this.

I often "record" radio shows from online sources. Many can't simply be downloaded but have to be recorded in real time.I use the free and open source "Audacity" to do this.It can be set up to record what is being processed by the pc's sound card and gives very good results. The resulting files can be saved as wav, flac oe mp3 format.

I hope this helps.

Haven't tried it myself, but apparently this'll do it.
Is the London Calling documentary? If so, I might be able to help.
you can use the 'radio downloader', works quite well...i use this very special software myself ;)
Radio Downloader is definitely the one. Very easy to use, you can set it for Series too and it also gets at some stuff older than 7 days.
thanks everyone for all the advice youve sent.ill be looking up these progs online and seeing which is the most user friendly for a technophobe like me.thanks again!!

Just to reiterate previous poster - I have used Audacity too in the past
the radio downloader on nerd of the herd link definitely works, ade
I'm using Rhythmbox via Ubuntu and there's a plug-in that allows you to rip a radio show. You can listen BBC there, too.
